The Things We Do

Received a strange look from my wife this morning as she came downstairs to find me at the breakfast table with a coffee basing a load of small Alien minis. 

I was more surprised that she was surprised! 

A Picture Can Lie!

This looks like a very busy workspace, but in fact it has filled up due to the lack of available time/energy to work there. My focus has wavered slightly so that I have a few projects on at the same time moving slowly along! 

Space Knights from Splat! Miniatures are one session from the finish line. I have Sci-Fi buildings from Warbases and Scotia Grendel, a fantasy ruin from Stonk terrain and at the side waiting patiently part of an Orc Army for the 15mm Fantasy Facebook group painting project. 

The end is in sight for some of these however!! 

Blue Moon Nevis

I've finished my Blue Moon Nevis. I don't see too many of the Blue Moon Range on the web, so I thought I'd get some done (for good or bad!)

I thought I'd experiment a little bit with these guys with an ink wash instead of layers and trying to put some speckle on their backs and legs to break up the uniform blue skin. That's worked OK for a trial. I can't help but feel, now that I've finished them, that the ammo packs and shoulder pads have come out striking but plain. It looks quite nice standing above the table though, so maybe I just need to get them in a game and enjoy them!
